Our country is and has been in a battle for decades: pro-life versus pro-choice. With the mid-term elections just passed, it’s great to see how God has worked to bring more pro-life men and women into office. We are not for one political party or the other, we are for life!

Through Save the Storks and getting the bus we need to reach out; it could be a huge step to making a difference in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and the country as a whole. I talked to a woman at my job the other day vigorously taking a pro-choice stand when I was sharing what I do with Save the Storks. I continued the conversation peacefully and it slowly calmed down. But I got to visually see the attitude of the pro-choice movement – they fight for the woman’s choice, but what about the baby’s choice? Really, they fight for the baby’s death. It is sad, but those who stand for pro-choice need to be reached out to also. They may be our enemies, but in this battle for life we must love them. Jesus taught his disciples to love them in the book of Matthew.

As pro-life activists we must ask ourselves daily: are we loving those who oppose us? Or are we despising them? Paul wrote in the book of Ephesians that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against evil demonic forces. Since we are in a spiritual battle we need to be equipped with the Armor of God so that when the battles come we are prepared to handle anything that comes our way. We can’t fight alone, we need God.

Daniel said this in His prayer to God:

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
to whom belong wisdom and might.
He changes times and seasons;
he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have
understanding;
he reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what is in the darkness,
and the light dwells with him.”
Daniel 2:20-22
